Dental Art

These beautiful pictures were drawn by our talented young patients! If you educate children on good oral hygiene practises from a young age, they usually outsmart their parents. Regular dental visits are important to prevent cavities and gum problems in children's mouths. Prevention is definately better than cure!

I recommend taking your children for their first dental check up from age two, in order for the child to become familiar and comfortable with the dentist. Teeth should be cleaned from the the time they appear in the mouth, either with a small gauze swab rolled around the mother's finger and slowly massaging the baby's teeth, or with a very small toothbrush. Parents should encourage healthy eating from a young age. Sweets, soft drinks and crisps should be discouraged and not consumed on a daily basis.
